Community Relations
We cannot seek achievement in ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity
for our community.” - Cesar Chavez.
Recently we’ve experienced some tough times in the semiconductor industry
and the world around us. At SensArray, we understand that now more than ever
our community is seeking the support that is so hard to find. As we continue
to explore new areas where we can provide the most value to our community, we are
involved in the following programs around the world:
- Our office in Taiwan provides monthly support
to the Taiwan Creation Social Welfare Foundation, which provides food and
medical care to the elderly, disabled and homeless of Taiwan.
- Since 1998, the SensArray corporate office
has been a sponsor of the Family
Giving Tree. Each year, our employees donate one gift per every two employees. This year, we expect
to once again meet that goal.
- SensArray
has supported the Intel
International Science and Engineering
Fair (ISEF)
since it was held in Silicon
Valley in 2001. Currently, we're a
major participant
in the effort to bring the fair back
to San Jose in 2010.
- Members of our corporate office sit on the Industry Advisory Board for the local chapter of the MESA Schools Program, which provides resources to educationally
disadvantaged student to encourage early interest in science and math and assist students to become eligible to attend four-year institutions, majoring in math-based fields.
- In 2002, we provided strong support to
the Alameda County Community Food Bank,
raising an estimated 20 pounds of food per employee. We also supported the Capital Area Food Bank in Austin with
15 pounds of food raised per employee. We will continue our support for these
programs during the coming holiday season.
- Our Japan office continues to provide to the UNICEF: Change for Good program through which left over foreign currency
is gathered together from various personal
and business trips and used to provide
for the nutritional needs of children
worldwide.
